Instead of using valuable pocket space, I attached the bottle by its built-in hook. It swung a little while walking, but remained convenient for reaching at rest stops.

Three quarters of a litre covered a full training session without constant refills. BPA-free PS plastic keeps the bottle light, while the 23cm height fits our usual carrier.

Among a group of dark drink bottles, this blue one was quick to identify. The textured grip also helped younger hands manage the larger 750ml capacity.

Closing the sipper protected the drinking surface from dust beside the oval. It opens easily with one hand, and the broad bottle rinses well after flavoured sports drinks.

Rubber bands around the 750ml bottle made it easier to hold after a summer run. The fold-down sipper closed out of the way, and blue colouring is easy to spot.
