During use, a strong beam lit the back gate clearly from the veranda. Its handle gave me better aiming control than a small torch.

Light rain reached the housing while we loaded the car, with no interruption. I dried the torch before returning it to storage.

Keeping it in a permanent boot compartment puts it beside spare batteries. The broad beam showed both the tyre and surrounding ground during a late stop.

There were no long mode sequences to cycle through at the fence. I picked up the spotlight and aimed it directly.

Searching outside the immediate camp area became easier, and we found the equipment quickly. The larger light was easy to locate after dark.
